Harriet Earis &
Clovis Phillips

Combining Celtic harp music with jazz backing, Harriet Earis and Clovis Phillips have performed as duo since 2013 and December 2022 saw the launch of their long-awaited duo album, "Plethiad".

Harriet was classically trained, reaching Grade 8 with Distinction on concert pedal harp. Asked to join a London-Irish band in her gap year, she had a religious conversion to trad music and has never looked back since. She is now considered one of the foremost exponents of the Celtic harp in the UK, specialising in Irish, Welsh and Scottish music, but also mixing Celtic music with jazz.

Newtown-based Clovis Phillips has a degree in Popular Music from Salford University and a Masters in Popular Music Research from Goldsmiths College, London. Brought up performing in a children's folk group and his parents' ceilidh band but listening to the Beatles and Nirvana, Clovis is in huge demand as an accompanist in a wide range of styles and has his own recording studio www.addaband.co.uk in mid Wales where the duo album was produced. He is currently a member of Jeb Loy Nichols & The Westwood All-Stars, UK zydeco's Joe le Taxi and the Will Barnes Quartet.
